The Coalition has organized five workgroups, or committees, to develop
and oversee the process of creating school readiness strategies,
operational policies and procedures, and implementing administrative and
programmatic requirements. Once developed, all committee recommendations
are presented to the full Coalition at board meetings for discussion and
approval. Four of our five committees actively addressing key areas of
school readiness program implementation, meet on a monthly basis and
include both Coalition members and committed members from the Osceola
community. The Nominating Committee meets on an as needed basis, when
board membership recruitment is needed and/or when it is time to present
a new slate of officers for elections, which occurs annually.
All committee meetings are open to the public and allow for public

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee is responsible for reviewing overall strategies
and operations of the Coalition, making decisions on behalf of the
Coalition in between meetings and acting as the overall
leadership for the Coalition.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee is responsible for the overall management of cash
flow regarding Coalition funds. This includes the development and review
of fiscal procedures, a fundraising plan, and annual budget with staff
and other Board Members. This committee shall also analyze and provide
recommendations to the Coalition regarding the overall financial
structure and delivery system of school readiness programs and services
within Osceola County.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE
The Program Committee shall be responsible for the development and
oversight of operational and structural components that comprise the
delivery system of school readiness programs and services within Osceola
County. It shall also be responsible for the review and oversight of all
the quality and required elements in school readiness programs and
services that directly impact the ability of children to become school
ready and the monitoring of the quality and required elements.

MARKETING & OUTREACH COMMITTEE
The Marketing Committee shall be responsible for the development and
implementation of the overall marketing and public relations plan for
the Coalition. It shall also be responsible for fundraising functions as
designated by the Coalition.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Nominating Committee shall be responsible for the recruitment of new
members and the presentation of the slate of officer nominations.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
The Legislative Committee shall be responsible for developing
and implementing legislative strategies concerning early learning in
Osceola County.
